CASA SYDNEY: DOOR PRODUCTION

Take a look inside our door production facility!

Following on from the success of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Canberra project, the Sydney office was specified with similar door types, thanks to The Mill: Architecture & Design.

Aluform was engaged to manufacture and supply a series of custom timber doors, including veneer finish and with custom vision panels. This included airplane-window shaped panels, and semi-circular panels. Our manufacturing team handled this effortlessly, and the final product looked amazing.

The veneer used on this project was Plantation Oak, a natural timber with light brown colouring and a warm grain. Other doors were supplied in a finish called “Duracote” – a moisture-resistant coating ready for paint.

Our custom timber doors capabilities are wide-ranging: we’re able to create anything from 35 – 60mm in thickness and up to 3000 X 1200mm in size!

From paint-ready, pre-primed or raw finish, to veneer, laminate and ply finish – any type of face finish is possible. We offer secure doors, high acoustic doors, external-grade doors and more.

Additionally, we offer a wide range of machining services to suit door hardware: morticing, drop seals, pivot closers, vision panels, rebates, cable transfers, strikes and more. Having our own workshop means we are very agile, and able to deliver with high quality on many custom requests.

For most orders, we offer a rapid turnaround of 5 working days: even less if it’s a simple order! We understand the importance of deadlines and get things done quickly.
