About The Project

NACCHO’s head office in the heart of Canberra city. Featuring a wide variety of textures and colours, speaking to the country’s First Nations roots.

Heavily featured were the Autex Acoustics + Willie Weston acoustic panels, with Indigenous artworks; providing much-needed sound absorption as well as creating focal points on walls. This was accented with handmade lighting features.

Autex Acoustics + Willie Weston

The Autex Acoustics + Willie Weston collaboration has taken the design world by storm. They’re a two-in-one feature: panels double as both sound absorption and artwork, and are a stunning addition to any space!

In this project, the Autex Cube panels were printed in three different colours: Pandanus Stone, Wak Wak Mud Flats and Native Seeds Olive. The hand-drawn artworks are matched so panels can be joined end-to-end and create a continuous pattern. Finished neatly with Aluform’s acoustic panel trims, to create a slim frame that hides the cross-section of the panels.

Series 1000

By far our most comphrensive, common and versatile suite, Series 1000 suits a 64mm stud & track profile with a 13mm plasterboard sheet each side.

The system is available with 25mm, 32mm and 50mm edge profiles, of which the 32mm profile was used on this project. In this project, the system was powder coated Satin Black.

While the centre-glazed frame was used on this project, Series 1000 is also stocked in double and front-glazed configurations.
