About The Project

Aluform delivered a series of custom doors for this project, all manufactured right here in our state-of-the-art production facility in ACT.

Some were solid core timber doors, finished in Polytec Australian Native laminate, and others were aluminium glazed doors, in matching powder coat to the aluminium frames.

This was complemented with a full door-by-door hardware package from Zanda Architectural.

Curved Partition Framing

Until now a complete impossibility: Aluform can now create curved partition framing profiles! Within certain radius limits, curved sections can be created which match in perfectly with a powder coated frame.

This capability gives designers complete flexibility within fit-outs, to specify curved glazing and office fronts. Used here at the MBA fit-out, the curved partition creates a point of interest and softens the overall aesthetic of the space.

Laminate Timber Doors

With access to a comprehensive range of laminate brands, Aluform manufactures custom timber doors every day at our production facility in Queanbeyan NSW. These doors for the MBA ACT project were finished in a brand new colour: Polytec Australian Native.

An in-house production facility gives us near-complete control over the entire process, ensuring we maintain a stringent standard of quality and finish on every door that is produced.

As a result, you can have complete confidence in the process, and the fact that our doors will be made correctly, and to the highest quality, every single time.

Door-by-Door Hardware Schedules

This project was completed with an entirely door-by-door packaged Zanda Architectural Hardware schedule. A key advantage of supplying the Zanda product range to this project is the availability: Zanda is one of very few commercial hardware suppliers that stocks finishes that would in most cases be custom, with a long lead time – like the white powder coat used on this project.

The door-by-door packaging process is designed to more than halve on-site labour and time spent – by simply ensuring that everything for each door is packaged together and labelled. This eliminates time spent hunting for small parts and referring back to schedules to work out what goes on what door. This method is favoured by builders as well as contractors, as it additionally reduces the amount of items that go missing or are misplaced on-site.
