About The Project
A new-build school in Pearce, ACT, with state-of-the-art facilities.
High-performance acoustics were paramount in this project, and included the use of the NCS Pinnacle ceiling tile, in conjunction with Series 9000 framing and proprietary high-acoustic timber doors.

Series 9000 Partition Suite
Designed to suit a 92mm stud and 13mm plasterboard either side, the Series 9000 is a great option for areas requiring high acoustic performance.
Powder coated in Monument Matt for this project, the Series 9000 is versatile and adaptable: available in centre, double and offset glaze configurations and with adaptors that make switching between the glazing types super easy. This system, when installed with high acoustic laminate glass, can achieve Rw ratings up to Rw46!
At Marist, the suite was used with proprietary acoustic timber doors that are 50mm thick – the ultimate in acoustic absorption.
Pinnacle™
Pinnacle is the best acoustically rated tile in the National Ceiling Systems range.
With an NRC of 0.7 and CAC of 37, the Pinnacle not only provides great sound absorption, but also attenuation (sound transfer between spaces). This, combined with a bright white, fleece face, creates the ideal canvas for a variety of spaces, especially educational spaces.
Pinnacle is compatible with any type of 24mm grid type: most popularly the TRIDENT Quick-Release ceiling grid, also from the NCS range.

Autex Quietspace™ Panels
As the primary ACT-based distributor for the Autex Acoustics products, Aluform has access to the supply of a wide range of high acoustic products.
At Marist College, both 25mm and 50mm Quietspace panels were used, particularly in the ceilings across music and drama rooms. A little goes a long way with these panels, due to their very high absorption capacity: the 25mm panel absorbs up to 85% of noise created in a room, while the 50mm panel absorbs up to 100%!
