About The Project
One of Aluform’s most high-end, unique fit-out projects to date, the Ashurst fit-out in the CQ1 building was a feat of design and execution.
Featuring highly custom, specialised doors and associated hardware, the atmosphere created in this floor is serene. Coupled with the striking view of the city, sprawling out from the windows, this fit-out was certainly one for the ages.

Veneer & Laminate Door Manufacturing
Aluform’s specialised machinery allows us to manufacture a comprehensive range of door types, including timber veneer and laminate doors like the ones used on this project.
On this project, the veneer used was a Eucalypt Veneer, a pale, neutral colour reminiscent of native Australian flora. Some doors were solid, others full glazed with a perimeter of the eucalypt veneer. Joinery surrounding was matched to the doors, and created a cohesive overall finish.
Additionally, doors were machined to suit Raven and Kilargo door hardware, as well as sliding door rollers.
Door Furniture
Such a high-end project surely requires high-end door furniture, and Aluform assisted in supplying products from Pitella and Designer Doorware.
From Pitella were the Maralina pull handles in black opaque, both back-to-back sets and single-sided sets. These contemporary pull handles tied in with black partition framing, and looked especially stylish on the full-glazed veneer doors.
From Designer Doorware, were the Niki pull handles, in a finish called Satin Brass Unlacquered. These pull handles featured on the solid veneer doors in the lobby and reception areas, creating a stunning feature.
