About The Project
A 1650m2 new build to increase the capacity of the Amaroo School, with the aim of providing space for 175 additional students in response to growing population in the area. Additionally, the existing learning spaces, science labs, media, art rooms and theatre were refurbished.
Expansive open-plan learning spaces were acoustically treated with the help of Autex Acoustics, and Aluform’s proprietary stacking door system served as a uniquely functional way to close off spaces.

Series 5000 Stacking Door System
Now part of the EDIS blueprint for all ACT schools, Series 5000 Stacking Doors are a brilliant solution for classrooms and learning centres.
With the ability to “stack” up to five panels, means a single system can span up to 6 metres! Full-glazed panels create a sound barrier whilst maintaining clear visibility, and bottom tracks finish flush with the floor to eliminate trip hazards.
At the Amaroo School new build, stacking doors are used to break a larger open space into smaller individual learning spaces.
Autex Quietspace Panels & Trim
Autex Quietspace Panels are a great solution for acoustically treating an area with minimal intrusion on space. At only 25mm thick and with an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) of 0.85, these panels are highly efficient.
Supplied to this project in colours Blush, Cinder and Avocado, the panels are finished with Aluform’s unique Acoustic Panel Trims, in our stocked Custom Black finish. This enables installers to create a sharp, neat finish on the edges of the panels and to hide minor cutting discrepancies.
These trims are stocked in large quantities at Aluform, and are sold all over the country.
