About The Project
The ACT Government’s decision to consolidate multiple departments into one building led to the need for this fit-out in the Nara building, of the Finlay Crisp Precinct.
The fit-out features timber joinery extensively, adding warmth to an otherwise monochromatic fitout. Black glazed partitions separate areas while maintaining visual connection, and patches of blue carpet and furniture provide a finishing touch.

Series 1000 Partition Suite
By far our most comphrensive, common and versatile suite, Series 1000 suits a 64mm stud & track profile with a 13mm plasterboard sheet each side.
The system is available with 25mm, 32mm and 50mm edge profiles, of which the 32mm profile was used on this project. Here the frames were powder coated Dulux’s Electro Black Ace, a flat matt finish with a slight ripple.
Front-glaze, centre-glaze and double-glaze sections were used on this project, and Aluform’s proprietary adaptor system makes the switch between these glazing configurations easy.
Series 6000 Sliding Door System
Aluform’s Series 6000 is a top-hung, heavy-duty sliding door system that can be either top-mounted or side-mounted [as done in this fit-out]. The system can carry aluminium or timber doors, up to 200kg in weight, and up to 3 metres high!
The system can be retro-fitted where applicable, due to its face-mount configuration, and it is compatible with all of Aluform’s partition suites. In this project, it was used with Series 1000.
Powder coated Dulux Electro Black Ace to match the frames, these sliding doors are a great option for commercial spaces.
